Getting the best from your shave

Shaving with a straight razor the first time is a scary proposition; at least it was for me. You need a styptic pencil because you WILL cut yourself at some point. I've watched dozens of videos on YouTube of guys demonstrating how to shave with a straight and I've incorporated many tips and techniques into my routine. I thought I'd share it with you.

First - equipment. You have to have a strop, preferably one with a leather strop and a cotton or linen strop combined.
